Why Albany Coin and Jewelry?
The most competitive Pricing and best Customer Service.
While our location is new, we have over 40 years of experience in the industry to include prior experience managing similar stores in the area. Other stores advertise paying "top" dollar for gold scrap and bullion. We don't pay top dollar, we pay the highest dollar.
Our best advertising is word of mouth when our customers refer us to friends, family, and colleagues. We don't spend many thousands of dollars each month on tv advertising as other coin and jewelry stores do to attract customers.
We offer house calls, as well as appointments outside of our regular business hours.
We sell our scrap gold and silver directly to the refinery. This ensures we receive almost 100% of the assay. Dealing with the refinery requires high minimum weights for submission which in turn ties up large sums of money. Many jewelry stores don't have what amounts to hundreds of thousands of dollars available to tie up, or have their money invested in inventory. They sell scrap jewelry as it is received to businesses such as ours in order to maintain a cash flow. That extra layer between metals buyer and the refinery costs dealers up to 7% in reduced profit. This is significant, and is passed along to you as a seller.
